Business Development Manager – Construction & Infrastructure


As Business Development Manager, your role is to drive and grow profitable sales in the construction and infrastructure market and develop relationships with the UK's largest construction companies in order to allow us to secure framework / preferred supplier status agreements, which in turn allow us to secure profitable business.

What to Expect:

  • Profitable sales growth year on year (£ revenue and gross margin)
  • Customer retention (% and £)
  • Successfully negotiate framework and preferred supplier contract status awards.
  • Secure new profitable business within the sector.
  • Develop an effective market specific business development plan.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong new business, solution selling, proven record of success.
  • Prior experience in the rental, security or facilities management sector a strong advantage.
  • Prior experience in the construction and infrastructure sector a strong advantage.
  • Proven track record of driving profitable sales growth.
  • Strong negotiating and commercial skills
  • Excellent skills in developing client relationships and experience of managing sales and customer relations.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Solid track record in sales and closing businesses.
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Good problem solving skills and able to use your own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential both orally and written.
  • Able to communicate at all levels both face to face and over the telephone.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and Microsoft packages.
