Evander are the UK’s leading provider of responsive, pre-planned and emergency home improvements services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the collation and provision of payroll information, ensuring service users and the Payroll Bureau are provided with an efficient service and accurate information at all times.


  • Manage the periodic checking of master file data and to undertake the updating of employee master files including but not limited to, new starter information, hour’s changes, re-grades and associated adjustments, and leavers and associated adjustments in compliance with legislative requirements and payroll policy requirements / good practice.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely collation and input of monthly payroll data to include management and calculation of occupational sick pay scheme in accordance with statutory and contractual obligations and to pre-defined timescales.
  • Act as the key contact for all employees in respect of a range of payroll issues to include the provision of advice on matters relating to the payroll system, conditions of service, statutory and voluntary deductions and payments.
  • Act as a key liaison for Reward Scheme payments and to Payroll Bureau.
  • Ensure accurate and timely collation of the Company pension scheme in accordance with the scheme terms and pre-determined timescales.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely collation of a range of Company administration schemes, to include but not limited to Edenred Childcare Scheme, Private Company Healthcare, SMV Payments.

What we are looking for:

  • Good working knowledge of a payroll environment working within HR that produces monthly pay;
  • Confident user of Word and Outlook and an Advanced Excel User;
  • High levels of numeracy;
  • Ability to prioritise and organize / schedule and adapt work tasks to meet conflicting deadlines and respond to changing situations;
  • Ability to work on own initiative and to organize / priorities own work;
  • Ability to convey information accurately, clearly and simply in a manner easily understood to all levels of the business;
  • Educated to A Level standard or equivalent;
