Monitoring Centre False Alarm & Investigation Administrator

VPS is an award-winning, industry-leading company providing security solutions to the UK vacant property, site security, and traffic management markets.

The role will focus on analysing data to establish causes and reasons for potential excessive alarm activation conditions that may affect the efficient transmission of events to the Monitoring Centre. The post holder will liaise with internal departments and third-party clients and engineers.

What to expect:

  • Actively work with internal and external customers to increase the efficiency of the control room and client service.
  • Maintaining and building good relationships with third party installers, internal departments and clients.
  • Liaise with engineers/installers to reduce technical faults.
  • Assisting Monitoring Centre Manager with Administration tasks.
  • Identifying locations with high volume of false alarm activity & technical faults.
  • Report weekly & monthly on activity and identify trends.

What we are looking for:

  • Good listening skills and an interest developing people.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft packages and IT skills.
  • Excellent working knowledge of systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills with experience of analysing trends.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and able to use your own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential, both orally and written. Able to communicate at all levels both face to face and over the telephone and the ability to send documentation via e-mail.
  • Experience with detailed record keeping.
  • CCTV License
  • Knowledge of security industry with specific focus on vacant property solutions
  • Experience in working in a Monitoring Centre or have past experiencing installing CCTV systems.
