Key Accountabilities & Activities

  • To lead the day to day delivery of service excellence, ensuring quality, productivity and legislative standards are achieved.
  • To proactively identify shortfalls to targets and seek solutions to minimise the risk of delivery failures.
  • To continuously identify training and development needs including the provision of appropriate on – site support, training and / or coaching.
  • Take responsibility for and prioritise escalations, complaints and expressions of dissatisfaction to resolve in a timely and professional manner.
  • To provide helpful and technical advice to colleagues, customers and internal departments.
  • To ensure compliance and timely delivery of Health and Safety, financial and operational requirements in line with best practice, policy, procedures and legislative requirements.
  • To consistently report a series of quality, safety and compliance and branch audits providing documented feedback.
  • To ensure appropriately skilled resource is recruited, retained and developed in accordance with best practice, policy and procedures.
  • Proactively and consistently implement company strategies to improve recruitment, retention, morale and performance to include meeting regularly with individual direct reports to review performance and priorities, delivery plans, personnel concerns and training needs.
  • Making sure that safety precautions are followed by all staff including the updating of safety kits.
  • Liaise with clients on a daily basis.
  • Completion of Health and Safety checks, including area safety checks, ladder hoists and branch safety checks.
  • Complete random quality checks on works completed by the team.
  • Ensure the completion of branch vehicle checks and the management of any “at fault” accidents.
  • Essential qualifications and experience
    • Full valid driving licence
    • Extensive experience in a similar role within UK Voids
    • Experience of managing, motivating and developing a team
    • Experience of working to deadlines / targets
    • Able to use data quickly and effectively to monitor delivery, diagnose problems, develop plans and explain issues to others.
    • Must be flexible with working hours. You may be required to travel long distances at short notice and may be required to undertake duties that require to be away from home
    • The ability to plan and organise work – balancing conflicting priorities whilst ensuring that tasks are completed on time and to the expected quality standard.
