Role Purpose

Managing the day to day credit control duties for a growing portfolio of Guardian properties across the UK that provide security by Guardian occupation for a wide range of properties. Currently in the growth stage, so it is a great time to join this growing business.

Key Accountabilities & Activities

  • Contacting accounts who are overdue/You will have experience maintaining customer
  • records with existing credit terms in place.
  • Collecting money from Go Cardless
  • Ensuring all billing has been completed and work has been invoiced (fixflo recharges)
  • You will have experience dealing with the Sales ledgers, ensuring that customer invoices are processed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Manage all enquiries about rental payments and arrears
  • Managing and responding to any complaints relating to arrears or rental payments
  • Use of Go cardless system
  • Responsible for chasing outstanding debts both via telephone & email
  • Responsible for issuing chase up letters
  • Make any adjustments or corrections on database
  • Contact clients to chase payments by following the process outlined by Head of Credit Control.
  • Reconciling invoices
  • Creating invoices where necessary
  • Any ad hoc projects as required by the head of credit control
  • Managing overpayments, including chasing payments and contacting the legal team if necessary
  • Provide weekly and monthly arrears reports to management, commenting on progress, escalate if needed, including payments due to be made and outstanding debts
  • Managing the outstanding payments list
  • Responsible for contacting all Guardians to collect arrears owed (21 days) Escalate overdue accounts to credit control supervisor
  • Keeping Customer Accounts up-to date
  • Dealing with Contact clients to chase payments by following the process outlined by Head of Credit Control.
  • Proven credit control or arrears collection experience
  • Experience in a B2C credit controller/collections role.
  • Experience with liaising with members of the public.
  • Excellent analytical and influencing skills.
  • Energetic, decisive and a team player.
  • IT Literate.
  • Organised/multi-tasker
  • Ability to build a good working relationship with key stakeholders
  • Rounded IT skills (excel use)
  • Excellent communication
  • Process driven
  • Customer service focused/empathetic
  • Credit control skills are a must and you should be able to work within Excel
